Joining HumorFeed
HumorFeed is a select group of news satire websites dedicated to supporting and promoting each other in a constructive and professional manner. It was founded by nearly twenty sites looking for a way to more effectively share traffic with each other. HumorFeed allows us to display fresh headlines from one another every day. Our styles, political views, and nationalities may differ, but we all share a passion for intelligent commentary, free speech, and pushing the boundaries of satire and journalism.
HumorFeed works in several ways to support its members, both by building partnerships to display the feed in sites around the web and by offering a variety of features on the HumorFeed site allowing members to promote their work and learn from one another. There are no membership or application fees; HumorFeed is a self-sustaining institution. Members are asked to link back to HumorFeed somewhere on their site; they are encouraged, but not required, to display the feed as well.
Because we are displaying headlines from HumorFeed members on our own sites, we carefully screen applicants with a unique peer-review process. All applications are reviewed by a minimum of three HumorFeed members, who independently and anonymously prepare detailed reviews looking at a variety of criteria:
Approximately a third of all applicants make it through the review process; membership in HumorFeed is an achievement to be proud of. If a decision is fairly close, applicants may be invited to reapply after sixty days.
