INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (The Adobo Chronicles, Chicago Bureau) – Moments after Donald Trump hinted at naming Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate, the Log Cabin Republicans unanimously voted to dump the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

The GOP LGBT group announced its decision to instead vote for Hillary Clinton just days before Monday’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

The gay Republicans vehemently opposes Trump’s choice of Pence whom they described as a politician who  doesn’t think gay people should be able to get married, serve in the military, shop at bakeries or  eat at pizzerias.

In 2003, Pence, then representing the sixth congressional district of Indiana, co-sponsored an amendment that would have prohibited same-sex marriage. Four years later, he voted against the Employee Non-Discrimination Act, which aimed to prevent job discrimination based on sexual orientation. While in Congress, he opposed a bill aimed at more effectively prosecuting hate crimes based on sexual orientation and voted against the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.

Previously, Trump was seen as a gay-friendly candidate for the nation’s top post, that is until he made his potential VP choice.

In a press statement obtained in advance by The Adobo Chronicles, the Log Cabin Republicans addressed Trump directly by saying, “You’re either with us, or against us.” They ended their statement with the hashtag, #We’reWithHer.
