The Fourth Annual HumorFeed Satire News Awards

Each January, tens of thousands of visitors came to read as HumorFeed's select group of contributors vie for the title of 'Best Story of the Year'. Our editors nominate their own best material, and vote which ten stories will be judged by a renowned panel of external judges. The winners represent the top three stories out of over 3,500 run on HumorFeed during the year.
The competition is open to any HumorFeed member active during 2008 and takes place in three stages. In the first stage, each member nominates its best story of the year. It might be a popular favorite, or it might be a gem that happened to escape the public eye. This stage is done by January 1.
In the second stage, our members read all fifty entries and vote amongst themselves to select the ten best stories our community has to offer, in a strictly controlled, anonymous voting process (through January 5th). Between the 5th and the 15th, these ten finalists are then evaluated by an independent panel of judges to determine the best HumorFeed stories of the year.
Our judging panel includes some of the nation's leading journalists and humorists alike. We're proud to submit our work before the expert judgment of these individuals each year. In 2005, it was BS News' President Bush Sells Louisiana Back to the French that took top honors; in 2006, it was Confusion Road's TIME Magazine Names Air 'Gas of the Year'. Last year, Enduring Vision took the crown with Ford To Market Car Bomb Models In Iraq. With over 50 active members in 2008, including several strong new members, the title is once again up for grabs.
